One of the antagonist, subject of the passions of the two women in the story, envied by the protagonist of how incomprenhensible it is for him to be the recipient of such love. And a despicable character. A weak and proud man hiding behind the armour of his job.

Phoebus in 1482 is brave, strong soldier. The embodiment of order in Paris, representing both monarchy and law. Grounded and solid at first sight, yet passionate, lascivious and false. Weak. A contradiction in himself.
The colours here reflect his contradictions, but lean slightly toward the darker side of his nature - the ruthless, sensual, and unfeeling aspects of his character. Blood, darkness, iron.

Phoebus in 1942 remains a representative of the law - but of a different kind, under the shadow of occupied France in wartime.
Where do his true priorities lie? With the new order, or with the ideals France claims in its motto?
An opportunist cloaked in the uniform of authority, he hides behind the law while serving only himself.
The blue of his uniform suggests loyalty - but loyalty to what? Beneath it all, he is still the same Phoebus he was in 1482.
