So, we come to the last Child of Spain, a figure admired through centuries for her education, beauty, elegance, strength and love - for her husband and daughter - and how she played the cards she was dealt in later life.
I must say, I have a sweet spot for this lady.
Though she was the last of 5, she was educated to be queen, same as her older sisters. She was loved and cherished, and she was raised proud of her heritage and determined to maintain her dignity as woman, wife, mother and Catholic queen.
She is:
Catherine of Aragon

Young sweet teenager
Young Catherine, a sweet, happy, modest teenager, cherished by her family - parents and siblings. Born in the golden age when her parents united the country under a flag and faith. Intelligent, and cultivated, raised to be queen, I wanted to place her in a time where clothing and fabrics would should her sweet, happy, modest nature, but with a known brand in fashion. So for me, it was clear that Laura Ashley 80s fashion would suit her. Long sleeves, and ruffles, covered neck and flowers in pastels as print for the dress reflect my idea of a young woman not yet tested by life.

Mature Catherine, after knowing of her husband's affairs, her sorrow for only having a daughter who is going to lose everything she wished for her. The world is changing for the worst for her.
Strong in her sadness, loyal to her faith and conscience, finding her strength in religion and the love of the people, if not the whole court. I kept her in the same kind of fashion as when she was young, but with colour of royalty, dark enough to represent her feelings: Laura Ashley 80s dress. Velvet to symbolise not only her softness, but her majesty. Accents of her faith in the nacklace. And a colour that will link her to her daughter Mary I, same as her top is reminiscent of her mother Isabel of Castille.
A strong, proud woman, who loved so much till the end.
