Besides Helen and Paris, the other two great names in the greatest war. Hector and Achilles. Two soldiers that fight for different reasons and whose costumes reflect not only that, but their attitude in life.

I always think they could have been great friends. That they recognize in each other their own flaws and the things they would aspire to.

Let's start with Achilles, both as soldier and in civil life:

Soldier waiting instructions

Tense resting

The central character in Homer's Iliad, in this version he keeps being an elite soldier and he still bears all the marks of a great warlord.

Strong, proud, stubborn and fast to rage, he is always ready for action, even when resting. That’s why he keeps his military dogtags, boots and white vest, while replacing regulation trousers for worn jeans and a rough cotton t-shirt.

Perhaps only through  Briseis, he could access the deepest part of his soul: that place that always whispers that there is something more than honor worth dying for -  love and compassion.

Combat pilot

Young dad

Hector shows deep, sincere love for his wife and children. Indeed, he even treats his brother Paris with forgiveness and indulgence.

He has a more profound reason to fight than most. What keeps him going is not pride or assurance of victory but a fragile hope that his country might survive, and that his child - and other Trojan children - may one day live freely.

For this reason, these conceptual designs explore the two sides of his character.

He is a combat pilot, not merely a prince. In uniform, he appears composed and restrained. At home, however, he finally finds himself: simple jeans, a white cotton t-shirt, barefoot. Nothing overtly military surrounds him. Only simplicity, tenderness… and vulnerability.
